New SOL Vault Strategy live on Premia Blue

SOL is live on Premia Blue with the brand new Buy-Back Underwriter Vaults.

As opposed to the other Underwriter Vaults on Premia Blue which are designed to only provide sell-side liquidity to the exchange, the new “Buy-Back” Vaults will strategically buy back options they have underwritten to capture favorable spreads!

What does this mean for Vault depositors and traders on Premia Blue?

  1. Capital efficiency: Short positions will be closed to free up collateral.

  2. Flexibility: The Vault strategy is more flexible in different conditions, resulting in lower risk for depositors.

  3. Deep liquidity: The buy-side liquidity will be increased across different strikes and maturities, allowing users who purchased options from the SOL Vaults to close their positions before expiration by selling back to the Vault.

Note that the Wrapped SOL utilized by these vaults is tradeable on 1Inch or LlamaSwap and is not yet supported by Premia’s in-app Socket bridge.

How to Deposit to a Vault:

  1. Navigate to app.premia.blue/vaults

  2. Sign in using your wallet and connect to Arbitrum

  3. To sell call options, choose a call vault. To sell put options, choose a put vault.

  4. Click “Add” on the top right corner

  5. Enter the amount of the underlying asset (call vault) or USDCe (put vault) you want to deposit

  6. Accept the transaction in your wallet, and you’re done! Your position is now accruing a proportional amount of PNL, PREMIA Options Liquidity Mining rewards, and potential ARB incentives from the vault.
